At Connie’s Coffee, every cup tells a story—of connection, culture, and community. Established in 2024 by Omari Clay, this business was inspired by his late grandmother, Constance, and her unwavering dedication to uplifting others. A beloved high school teacher, Constance saw her role as more than a job; she was a mentor, safe haven, and guiding light for underprivileged youth. Her legacy of creating micro-changes that ripple into brighter futures lives on in every cup we serve.

Connie’s Coffee started as a small pop-up on 54th and South University in Hyde Park, Chicago.

Connie’s Coffee began as a 100% grassroots venture, fueled by a love for coffee and a passion for connecting people through meaningful experiences. Inspired by the artistry of coffee during Omari’s college barista days, he discovered its unique power to bring people together. Fast forward, after being let go from a barista job for promoting coffee content via TikTok, Omari turned that challenge into an opportunity. That moment became the spark for launching Connie’s Coffee—a company built on valuing people, celebrating diversity, and fostering connection one cup at a time.
